Science of Reading Informed
Hoot’s instruction and curriculum aligned with a structured literacy approach informed by the Science of Reading.
Inclusive Learning Materials
The Hoot Library includes 1,500+ decodable and complex texts that prioritize diverse characters, storylines, and authors. It is available both in and out of lessons.
Supportive Partnership
Hoot offers adjustable schedules and resources for families to support engagement and enrollment. Reading lessons can be delivered at school or home.
Qualified Teachers
Teacher-led tutoring has the greatest impact on literacy outcomes. All Hoot tutors are qualified teachers with a B.Ed (or higher) and classroom teaching experience.
Effective Holistic Reading Instruction
Our full-spectrum program ensures students receive instruction in both word reading and language comprehension. Language comprehension skills are especially crucial for students learning English as a second or additional language.
